  • Very Disappointed

Servpro was recommended to me by my dad who had his basement mitigated by Servpro. He was very pleased with the experience he had. Unfortunately, my experience was not very good. Communication and good customer service is key to business. Servpro was an hour late arriving to my house. The reason they were late is because they had a "meeting" that ran over. If you commit to a customer you will be there at a certain time I can imagine why you would allow a "meeting" to get in the way of providing good customer service. In addition, they left marks on the floor and did not... More...

  • Won't return calls or answer basic questions

I was referred to Servpro by the person who inspected a home I am looking at to buy. He deals with the Topeka office. However, since the home I'm looking at is in the KC area, I called the Olathe office, which I'm told houses four franchises. I called four days in a row and was told someone would call back. None of the dispatchers can answer even basic questions. On the second day, I was told they had no record of me calling, and I was not on the "thread". Today I called and got a new person that had just started that told me he would get someone to talk to me right... More...

  • Servpro Billed me $4600 without authorization

After my condo was destroyed by vandals, I called Servpro for an estimate on the mold cleanup. The salesman insisted on placement of "environmental conditioning" machines in my unit while they prepared the estimate. Of course they never sent an estimate - just an invoice for over $4600 for the use of their equipment - WHICH DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! As a real estate professional, I have dealt with dozens of contractors over the years, but none ever pulled this kind of scam. I have never had a worse experience with a contractor. I would not recommend Servpro Arnold to my worst... More...

Do not ever call this company for damages to your home, especially if your insurance company is involved because they will OVER CHARGE you to the moon and back. They are dishonest and really don't do a very good job either. If you ever have water damage, fire or some other kind of clean up to be done, use someone else because Servpro will screw you. More...

  • Cleanup after a flood

We had a very serious flood in our townhouse in Nov. 2016 and were referred to Servepro by our insurance company Allstate. These guys were clean looking and very polite but at the end of a week of drying out the apartment we asked them to finish the job asap. They damage kitchen cabinets, a brand new counter top and broke a pipe while removing a part of ceiling which we are still awaiting repayment for the bill we received from the plumber that services the complex. The so-called Servepro plumber showed up with no tools and had to leave to go to Home Depot. The plumber that service the... More...

  • Home repair/water removal

I give them one star because zero stars isn't an option. I hired these people to repair my kitchen and downstairs after a water leak. 10 months later, the house was ready after nearly daily visits by myself to their office. They had to come back and completely redo half the work on the floor because they failed to do the work correctly the first time. They provide absolutely zero oversight to the sub contractors they hire out to do the work for them....and then tack on 20 percent for their own fees. One of their sub-contractors even recommended against them. If it were me, I would hire... More...

  • Serv Pro of Lapeer Michigan are crooks

I called Serv Pro because my basement flooded. They came out quick but here comes the fun! They literally worked a whopping day and a half tearing up my basement. Put some drying equipment down, broke a window in my basement. Said they would be back the next day. I told them I wanted them to take their equipment out because apparently the "rental" on THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT was the most expensive part of this shady ass progress. They disappeared for 3 days and didn't get their equipment. I was told when they came back that I wouldn't be charged for the days they left their... More...
  • Didnt Do the Job

Had a leak in my basement. Called AllState they sent out servpro. The Next Day the blowers and fans. DID NOT extract any water.. Later in the evening on Day 2 the house began to stink. The Entire Colonial House Smelled of damp, mildew, musty, ick. Our 4 year old started coughing. We went outside. You couldn't be on the 2nd floor. The smell would make our eyes water. The adjuster was not coming to the house. They were going off of servpro. Drew (the servpro guy) told our adjuster 1st that there was no smell. Then he said the smell was from our dogs, now he says its the AC. Meanwhile... More...

  • Servpro review

Wife spoke with Servpro about basement cleanup after flooding. They came out right away and placed a bunch of fans and dehumidifiers in basement to dry it out. They said that they would be back to spray furniture and floor and to wipe down everything with formula to prevent mold growth. We were to have as much of the furniture on sliders as possible so they could move it. When they came back and finished the job, no furniture was moved and I don't believe everything was wiped down. I have obvious mold growth from center columns and the smell of mold is apparent in the room. The... More...

  • Servpro Overcharge

Servepro was at my house after hurricane sandy. I was repeatedly assured that I would not be charged more than my insurance company would pay as they (Servpro) were bound by FEMA rules as to what they could charge. Relying on Servpro's word that I would be completely reimbursed because they had pre approved the amount with my insurance company I paid my bill in full. My insurance company disallowed almost $3,000 of the expenses and said that Servpro was not allowed per FEMA regulations to charge for those services. Did not follow industry standards in a sewer overflow clean up. Theft and destruction of personal items, mold remediation needed due to negligence. Sewer overflow occurred 04/21/2014. ServPro sent to home via State Farm insurance. Began drying process without cleaning up or removing fecal matter from floors, toilets, showers, bathtubs, crawl spaces, flooring, sinks, cabinets and wall trim. We've lived in our new home for a year in half and our air conditioner had a faulty valve of some sort & had been leaking pretty much the entire time we lived there. That was fixed but the wood under our ac unit in the attic had become wet and actually came through the ceiling in our kitchen. Not a huge spot or anything coming falling down. We had a water leak that flooded house. All state called Servpro to do clean up. They showed up in good time and set to tearing up floors and carpets. We packed up and went to hotel, came back later in day to find house full of blowers. Servpro also had pulled trim from walls and driverd and punched holes in drywall. Three days later all dried up, servopro removes blowers and leaves. They left holes in walls, trim pulled, dirty carpets on floor with pad removed. NO CLEAN UP WHAT SO EVER. • entire home from broken water line flood

To make a long story short, a water line broke and flooded the house. State Farm named Servpro as a clean up crew. I called them and they responded with their equipment to dry the floors and walls before they would tear the floors out. A few days later a team showed up from Bowling Green, Ky since the Paducah crews were very busy with other flooded houses and such. I live in Mayfield, KY, so Paducah would have been the tear out crew if they were not booked already. • ServPro, didn't finish the job

On Tuesday, the 15th, we had a toilet hardware issue and our home was flooded. We called State Farm immediately and they recommended ServePro. I was 500 miles from home, leaving my husband to deal with this all. The guy that came to help, seemed nice enough, but didn't do the complete job. He left the staples behind from the hardwood flooring tear out, something that State Farm said was not acceptable. They left carpet tack strips exposed in the middle of a main walk way. They also left a DIRTY mess throughout all 3100 square feet of my home. 3 State Farm reps said they should... More...

  • Great Company!

These folks took care of a water loss for my family at the beginning of the year, not only were they extremely professional and respectful of my situation and feelings, but they were the most cautious and informative I've ever seen in a cleanup crew. Although I haven't had much experience with cleanup companies, I feel like they were definitely qualified for the job. They tested, tested, and tested again before they began drying because of how old my house is. They took all the proper steps needed to make sure everything ran smoothly and safely for us and for them. Hayes is the... More...

  • ServPro of Nashua NH - shady business

ServPro of NASHUA NH = I had water damage in my basement, which happened to be my son's bedroom. At first, I thought the ServPro of Nashua team would be great. The original person seemed to know what he was doing. Before proceeding with their services, I asked for a rough idea for cost of job. He explained what needed to be done, and mentioned similar jobs are about $1000-$1500. (only reason I agreed to the work as I had already removed half the sub floor for them). Servpro of Alabama came in to help in Maryland after the Hurricane. The workers did a good job, HOWEVER, my estimate was $500 and then it ended up being $750, and they definitely did not provide $750 worth of services. They don't provide you a receipt of services when the job is done. The Sales Manager is an idiot and is only focused on $, and additionally he is very rude and knows noting about customer service. When they first called they were like we are going to collect your deductible, and I asked well what if my deliverable is more than what the cost of the work is? Oh we will issue you a refund

I had very minimal water in my hardwood floors and then they left the equiment there and then charged me when they came out to check it and said it wasn't dry. They are crooks and they take advantage of peoples misfortune. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. They are a bunch of crooks!

I recently had a frozen water pipe that busted behind a tub in a bathroom between two bedrooms. It flooded the entire side of my home. I work for an insurance agent and have worked in the insurance business for 40 years. I have held an insurance license since 1979. I have recommended Servpro many times for jobs and even when our church had a fire they used them upon my recommendation. So when I stepped into ankle deep water I wanted none other than Servpro to do my work because I felt I knew the local people and they would do a good job and give me the best rate. I feel the guys who came out did a good job. I was sick with acute lung problem at the time and they knew this. They should have advised me to get a hotel room. I had to go to the doctor two more times because the dehumidifiers about killed me/ I could not breathe unless I went outside in the freezing weather to get fresh air. I wasn't satisfied with the bath tub not being dry of water. They wanted my entire bathroom tore out. They told me that my carpet could be put back down but my carpet was 6 years old and it could not be saved. They charged enormous fees and it was months going back and forth with the adjuster. Do you think after all the business I referred them they gave me any discounts. No, the Servpro representative Renee and her boss Cindy only wanted to complain about my adjuster and how hard he was making it for them.I was very disappointed and did not think this company handled this claim professional. Especially when she wanted to bring other claims by to discuss with me. Privacy please!! Don't be discussing my claim with anyone!! Our company has a privacy act that we abide by!!! Don't use them. I could tell you more but I think you get the drift.

When the company first arrived in my home back in December 2010, I wanted to feel very safe and secure that they were, in fact, doing their job.
At first, they were kind and seemed concerned about my issues.

But, then after about a week or so, the problems slowly began.
I will list them in order for your ease in reading:

1. My husband had some concerns that there was work done that didn't need to be done. My husband, being a former general contractor, had some valid concerns. When he questioned Aaron West, the older son of the franchise owners, Aaron repeated that we had nothing to worry about, because the insurance company was covering all the costs. This made us a bit weary, because we didn't want to take advantage of our insurance company, nor did we want them to do unnecessary work, just to hike up their fees.

2. Another son, Cameron, saw that I was very upset about the entire process, particularly that it was during the holidays. He said that they could abandon the job if we wanted them to. This response was flippant and unprofessional.

3. After our kitchen was contained with plastic, we were told that we couldn't enter the containment due to a possible hazardous environment. However, we witnessed the workers at Servpro entering the containment without wearing their masks. They also contained our atrium, but never explained why this was needed, but to just trust them that they were doing this to protect us. My husband informed me that opening the window between the kitchen and the atrium compromised the previous containment of the kitchen as the remediation of the mold had not yet been completed. Essentially the atrium was being used as a conduit for venting contaminants to the outside through the open skylight in the ceiling of the atrium and therefore possibly contaminating the atrium. My husband’s concerns regarding this practice were never satisfied nor was there any attempt on their part to explain their reason for doing this.

4. When finally removing the plastic from the containment, they recklessly tore down the plastic, leaving a staple in our floor, which was not only unsafe, but someone entering our kitchen with only socks on, scraped the bottom of their foot. When I mentioned this to the Servpro employees, they acted as if it was nothing to be upset about and made the comment, ”you should not be in a construction zone without shoes on.” The construction zone was in an area of the kitchen--free from any hazards.

5. The containment was put up in a very sloppy, unprofessional manner, leaving staple marks on our ceiling and walls.

6. When the job was approximately 3/4 completed, Aaron West pressured me into filling out a survey. He caught me in a moment when I was in a hurry and when I asked if I had to fill it out then and there, he replied that I did. Realizing this afterward, I thought I should have refused to answer the survey, but complete it at my leisure. I would appreciate either filling out a new survey, or destroying the one I did fill out.

7. Finally, when the job was completed, I had a check from my insurance company to give to Robert West, once he delivered my sink, faucet and a couple of other items which belonged to us. When he came by, accompanied by his son Seth West, to collect his check, he carried on and on about how they were so kind to me and helping me out during this stressful time.
Then, to top it off, and I thought I heard enough of his diatribe, Robert said to me, "I know you are having problems in your marriage!" I was so completely astounded and taken aback, not to mention completely offended by his unprofessionalism and his remark, that I became defensive about my marriage, even though it was/is none of his business. He was extremely out of line, not to mention completely inappropriate and unprofessional.

8. I have e-mailed Karen West, notifying her of 2 checks I had for them from the insurance company. I also wanted them to return a couple of items which belonged to me. I have been completely ignored, never receiving responses to my e-mails.
Last week, when I phoned and spoke with their office receptionist, Jessica West, she snickered as she told me that they would get back to me this week. I assure you, that will not happen.

Servpro are scam artists! I could write a book about servpro and all the unethical practices they use. Tripling the quote they give you; Stealing items from your home; putting liens on your home; refusing to send you a detailed bill; Their tactics are criminal like just to say the least. I have no idea how our system allows them to survive by taking advantage of helpless people and also insurance fraud at its best.

Servpro of Johnson City, TN Claims to be mold experts but reality is they know nothing about mold or how to get rid of it. They didn't even wear air mask when removing the mold Sheetrock. I will never use these guys again and suggest you don't either.

I had a Aunt's kitchen completely flood, they were out to her house in a hour. Since she lived about 30min away. They were very professional, and got the job done. This was the wichita kansas location.

We used them when last year (flooding). They seemed OK to me. Not great, not bad... Just got the job done without any problems.

I's sure some of these are legit, but alot of these people seem like they just want something to complain about.

What a scam company...Water damage due to ice maker break...Serv Pro recommended by insurance co and they came. Set up fans for a week -kept saying it was still wet and tore out ceiling etc.Wanted to come back to replace and when I told them I had a carpenter the manager became belligerent.... The bill was way over the top , not dated and not itemized. Insurance is fighting them...Wouldn't call them to clean up dog's mess.

Had a fire in Nov. Contacted Servpro they stood us up for appointments 3 times, I called and told them to just forget it. They called back apologized and set up another appointment which they wound up having to reschedule. Finally after about 20 days made it to the house to view the damage. Now in FEB! they started work yesterday and called this morning to tell us they couldn't get the materials to finish the job and are still expecting us to pay for over half of their original estimate.

in the process of dealing with servpro out of huntsville...they are never on time, constantly misrepresent themselves and returned a washer/dryer after 8 weeks (said it was clean). It had molded clothes in it and one of their gloves! I have already contacted a lawyer!

Servpro have numerous violations listed with the better business bureau. They are at best a load of con men, crooks and liars. Do not use their ineffective and impotent services.

ServPro of Decatur/Forsyth was hired by my insurance company. They over charged thousands of dollars for work that would never need to be performed. Submitted a second estimate and intentially over charged again. Damaged thousands of dollars worth of my property and to my home. Refuses to return calls, refuses to complete the job they were paid to do and refuses to return the remaineder of my personal property. ServPro employee's even stole items from my home when they were here.

Terrible work, had 2 companies here, broke, and damaged items.
I now learn I have water still in my walls, which led to mold. No one will call me back, I paid twice for such poor work. I plan to persue this matter!
