Didnt Do the Job
Had a leak in my basement. Called AllState they sent out servpro . The Next Day the blowers and fans. DID NOT extract any water.. Later in the evening on Day 2 the house began to stink. The Entire Colonial House Smelled of damp, mildew, musty, ick. Our 4 year old started coughing. We went outside. You couldn't be on the 2nd floor. The smell would make our eyes water. The adjuster was not coming to the house. They were going off of servpro. Drew (the servpro guy) told our adjuster 1st that there was no smell. Then he said the smell was from our dogs, now he says its the AC. Meanwhile ALLSTATE sent a textile company to pick up the oriental rugs that were destroyed, and any other textiles. CRDN. Kathy from CRDN said this smell is not right. She smelled the vents, and the carpet they were traipsing across going in and out during the flood. The smell was being blown into the vents from the 2 dozen fans they had in the basement and blowing it through our house. Kathy got approval from the adjuster to take our bedding and exposed clothes, ect. to clean them, our blinds and window treatments. due to the mildew, musty air blowing on them. Also informed us our carpet should be replaced because it really absorbs that oder. Servpro told the adjuster this didn't need to be done, so after they took all this with approval of adjuster, Adjuster said Allstate wont pay. CRDN is doing our cleaning for free. Servpro in Novi, MI. HORRIBLE!! and I don't recommend Allstate.
